Cherrybrook Technology High School was established in 1992 and has quickly gained a reputation as one of the most innovative and successful comprehensive high schools in the state. The school currently has a student population of 2000, a teaching staff of 130 and a large administrative and support staff.
It is a dynamic community of learners, committed to providing a rich, safe and enjoyable educational environment with a high technology focus. It offers a wide range of teaching and learning programs and an extensive number of extracurricular activities. Students at the school achieve outstanding results in the HSC and other external examinations.
An important feature of the school is its welfare network that strives to support each child as he or she progresses through high school. The school is coeducational, enjoys the strong support of the local community and values participation in cultural and sporting activities.

INDUSTRIAL ACTION AT CHERRYBROOK TECHNOLOGY HIGH SCHOOL

The NSW Teachers’ Federation has called a stop work meeting on Friday 18 May to discuss the current salaries campaign. As a result, the majority of staff will not be on duty between 8.30am and 11.00am. During this period the school will not be able to provide normal lessons for students. However, minimal supervision will be available. Parents are advised that, if possible, they should organise alternative arrangements for the care of their child during this time. The school will resume normal operations at 11.00am (beginning of period 3) and it is expected that all students will attend from this time. Please note the “catch up” NAPLAN tests for students will proceed as scheduled. Students involved should attend school at the normal time. GARY JOHNSON Principal |
